ABOUT ROBERT W. LAIDLAW

Robert Laidlaw has been in the investment industry since 1983. Prior to joining Acumen in March 1999, he was a Senior Vice President with a large, bank-owned investment firm, having founded and managed the growth of their Calgary Retail operations. Robert gives daily market and investment commentary on behalf of Acumen on Global TV. He has become the trusted voice for Calgary investors. Rob works in an investment sales team with Imran Mulji and Margaret MacBurnie.

Robert is one of the founding members of the Calgary Chapter of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners. Before becoming an Investment Advisor, Rob earned a business degree from Arizona State University in 1983.

 

 

ABOUT IMRAN MULJI

Imran joined Acumen in 2010 as an Investment Advisor with the Laidlaw Team. Prior to Acumen, Imran worked at an Alberta based Investment firm as a Financial Advisor and Investment Specialist for 2 years.  Imran has completed his Diploma of Technology in Financial Planning, and holds the Canadian Securities Course, Conducts and Practices Handbook, and the Branch Compliance Officers Course.

 

  

ABOUT MARGARET MACBURNIE

Margaret recently joined the Laidlaw/Mulji team in October 2011 as their Investment Advisor Assistant. She brings with her approximately 10 years of experience having worked with previous industry leaders. Margaret's knowledge and understanding of the administration side of the business will be an asset and she looks forward to taking care of the needs of clients.
